[Wellness Wednesday] ‘One Thing for Wellness’ Challenge

Happy Wednesday everyone! How are you getting on with your wellness endeavors? With the changes to our daily lives right now, some of us may be experiencing some ‘bumps’ in our wellness wheels. It’s hard to make our wellness a priority when we’ve got so much going on around us, but this is the time when it’s more important than ever.

But wait – I’m homeschooling, trying to keep our family well and fed, keep up with the laundry….. I don’t have time to worry about wellness. Is that how you’re feeling right now?

If it is, please know you’re not alone. I’m sure a lot of us are in the same boat.

But what if we could make it easy to do something for our wellness every day? In my post Just Do One Thing I talked about my ‘One Thing’ philosophy – asking What ONE THING can I do today that will move me closer to my goals?

I thought adopting this philosophy might help us make our wellness a priority without having to spend a lot of time on it. To that end, I’d like to invite you to join me in the ‘One Thing for Wellness’ challenge.

Join the ‘One Thing for Wellness’ Challenge!

Each day on my Facebook page I’ll be posting a prompt that encourages you to do ‘One Thing’ for wellness; to make your wellness a priority for just a few minutes each day. Each prompt will address one of the eight dimensions of wellness we’ve talked about, and will be something simple. In addition, most of them will take very little time.

I wanted to do this on Facebook so we can not only do the challenge, we can be accountability partners for one another. I’ll also post some extra information to help with the prompts each day. If you’d like to join in on Facebook, please visit and follow the Reclaiming HOPE page at https://facebook.com/hopereclaiming.

If you’re not on Facebook, or you just prefer doing it on your own, you can download the challenge calendar here:

Remember, if you don’t take care of yourself, you can’t take care of those you love. It’s never selfish to make your wellness a priority.

So why not join me for the May ‘One Thing for Wellness’ Challenge? We start Friday, May 1st. I look forward to doing this challenge with you!

Blessings,

~Terri

    1. Thanks so much Wendi! You should be able to fill in the form above to get access to the calendar download. All you have to do is fill in your first name and email address, then hit the subscribe button. After that, you should receive an email with the download. If it doesn’t work, please let me know. I’m using a form from another program and I’m not completely sure what I’m doing yet…. Hope you’re staying safe and well sweet friend! Sending hugs your way!

      1. thank you Terri. I did provide my name and email address but nothing was sent. Do you know if you receive it immediately or is it sent at a later time?

      2. It should have come immediately, I think. I’ll have to get with the tech folks to get it straightened out. In the meantime, you can email me directly if you want so I can send it to you. I’m really sorry it’s not working correctly.

      3. it’s ok, maybe I did something wrong. I will send you my email now! thank you so very much for your help Terri…….you are so sweet! 🙂

  1. So happy to see you hear today! Ive been thinking about you. I did fill out the form and did not get an email, so I emailed you directly, but also liked your facebook page. Hope things are going well for you

    1. Hi Grace, I’ve been thinking about you too. I just had a couple of ‘those’ weeks so I haven’t been around much. I got your email and I just sent your PDF file. I hope this time you get it okay. Thanks for liking the FB page. I hope to have some tips for each day’s challenge on there. As you can imagine, you can’t put much in those little calendar spaces. 😁 It’s great to hear from you – I hope you’re staying safe and well. Sending hugs your way!

    1. Thanks so much Mark! I hope your calendar download email came through okay. The tech people say it should be working fine now, but if not, just send me an email and I’ll send the calendar to you that way. I hope you and your family are staying safe and well. Blessings to you!

    1. Thanks V.J. – I’m so glad you’re going to join in on our little challenge! I figured if I needed something like this, maybe other people did too. It’ll be nice for us all to be working on our wellness together. Sending hugs!

  2. This is a fantastic idea, Terri! Both the Facebook group for support, motivation and accountability, and the download to use or print as you prefer. Such a kind initiative for you to set up, thank you. You rock, Terri! xx

    1. Thank you so much Caz! I’ve been struggling a little lately, and I figured if I needed a little boost to start doing something for my wellness every day, maybe other people did too. It’ll be nice for us to all be doing something good for ourselves at one time. Sending hugs your way!

  3. Thank you Terri! As you know by adding music each day to my wellness routine it has been truly rejuvenating.

I like your statement & agree whole heartedly,
“Remember, if you don’t take care of yourself, you can’t take care of those you love. It’s never selfish to make your wellness a priority.” 😀
    Blessings,
    Jennifer
